Shopping Glossary
What do those shop labels mean?
A showroom, a consignment shop and an outlet can all sell furniture. These labels help you decide what to ask before you visit. Browse Jacksonville shops to find the right kind of stop.
Types of shops
- Showroom
- A shop where you can see display pieces in person. Ask whether you can take one home that day or need to place an order.
- Consignment shop
- A shop that sells items for other people and keeps part of the sale price.
- Outlet
- A store that may sell marked-down goods, such as floor models or older stock. Ask what the price includes and how returns work.
- Trade counter
- A counter that sells parts or supplies for a trade. Ask if it sells to the public before you go.
What a shop is known for
That's the kind of thing the shop sells. For a certain model, size or part, ask the shop what it has today.
